the notes can say anything - they are trying to get Cooper in a perjury trap - he could write anything in that notepad and turn it over to the prosecutor - my only guess is that they have some definitive proof from Novak, and if Cooper/Miller says something different, he commits perjury.

I agree with you. Why is Fitz trying so hard to get testimony out of fairly peripheral players? I think he knows he has no crime from leaking Plame's name, so he's trying to snap a perjury trap on someone.

Considering the lies that pass for regular journalism, I'd say this is almost a given, especially in this case. This whole thing was intended to bring harm to the President--I will enjoy the backfiring.

Cyncooper, thanks for the ping. Very interesting development--looks like they're not going to play pattycake with the "journalists" on this one!
