But Woodward's electric light simply didn't work and never could have worked. Edison found the key to making it work.

Don't worry too much about who invented what.....I have found that the Canadians have this much-ingrained "inferiority complex" about themselves -- that means they have to constantly claiming they're "better" than other people....it's irritating but really quite harmless....
