Human remains found in Idaho (Dylan Groene)

I saw a made for tv movie recently and the plot reminds me of the abduction and murders in Idaho. Has anyone else seen this movie?

I have read numerous threads on the subject of the Groene family, but still can't find all the information I'm seeking. I know I can always find links on FR that other reporters seem to miss. I learned this especially during the coverage of the McGuckin family, that Idaho members here are really good detectives. An example in the current coverage of the Groene tragedy is the link to the videos Joseph Duncan created and posted online, one in which he rants profanities and another as a tribute to John Lennon's "Imagine." Nobody else seemed to catch that; great work!

Anyway, I'm trying to get past the speculation that the murders resulted from a "meth deal gone bad." Can anyone point me to a link which states for a FACT that Mrs. Groene was abusing drugs prior to her murder, such as autopsy results?

Second, has anyone yet determined what the connection was between Duncan and the victims? So far, every member of the Groene family interviewed has denied any knowledge of Duncan prior to the murder/kidnappings. Have any Coeur d'Alene locals come forward with a different story?

Third, has there been an update on the human remains found at the Montana campground? Has the DNA test proved that it's Dylan Groene?

Fourth, with the media spotlight now on Duncan's fifthnail blog (took 'em long enough, because FR already scooped the link), what about Duncan's mother's role in all this? Duncan seems to hint that she knew the "demons had taken over." Could she have done anything to prevent her son's rampage? Has anyone interviewed Mrs. Duncan yet, or even know if she's still alive and able to give interviews? After all of Duncan's allegations that he himself was molested as a child, it would be interesting to hear his parents' version of the story. Wonder if they'll talk?

The autopsy showed they had meth and pot in their systems, but the sheriff said they were likely recreational users and didn't have enough money to be hard core. (link to Spokesman-Review article from 6/9)

No one has found any connection between Duncan and the family - Shasta says they didn't know him. The sheriff says he randomaly picked out the family, but that he meticulously planned everything. (KREM article from 7/7)

The DNA tests on the body in the campground are still being done... in Quantico, VA.

Don't know if his mom could have done anything or not. The FBI is now looking at the disappearance of a five year old girl in Minnesota two years ago... Duncan's blog talks about it.(KREM article from 7/7)

It is the prosecutors responsibility to aprise the judge of the the defendents prior criminal background---what usually happens is the prosecutor makes a deal with the lawyer of the defendent ahead of time-before its in front of the judge after say 3 4 5 or 6 continuanace hearings later--these two make a plea bargain thats almost always involves dropping the ortiginal charges down several levels ie an assault one becomes a plea to an assault three-which is what thje criminal actually pleads guilty to-and more often that not if the original charges are felonious they wind up misdemeanors that are being pled to and wind up on the perps actual record! and unfortunetely most courts are run with the judge being little more than an officiator who puts his final stamp on these deals that are being cranked out all day by the states attornies office in collusion with the attorney of the criminal-who are often pals in real life by the way with all kinds of favors being down fo various reasons. so if the prosecutor okays one of these deals that basiclly sell out the victim--they do not make the judge aware of the vastness of the criminals past criminal history for the judge may very well then override the plea deal thats already been agreed upon between the prosecutor and defendents lawyer and defendent of course-now if the defendent had enough money or his family did-to hire a private lawyer rather than a public defender-he usually gets the much better deal as his lawyer may be in a position to a have a relationship with the states attorney and b do favors in the future for him/her.
how do i know this-because i was the victim of a violent crime and i saw all of this and more go on in my case and it is not the cops and not the courts per se but the corrupt-or lazy or burnt out- prosecutors 9 times out of 10 that are responsible for allowing these dangerous predators to escape any true accountability for there crimes-its disgusting!
