Oh that this were true. Last week I became engaged in a "conversation" with a man that would only say we are in Iraq for the oil. When I asked if I were to bring him proof to the contrary, would he read it, he replied, "NO I already know why we're there."

Actually the US Gov't didn't inter the entire Japanese-American population, only CA, WA and Oregon and the Territory of Alaska. The J-A's in these states were farmers and held valuable property (which they lost) while in HA, they were mostly serfs on plantations, thus no profit in putting them into camps.
It was common to have a brother working in a defense plant while you were sitting in a *Relocation Center* Notice these states, with the exception of Alaska, are solid leftist. Again, when dealing with Democrats: Follow The Money.
