I've often pondered that question myself. Why our side doesn't fight back, or get down and dirty like they do with the name calling etc. The only thing I have been able to come up with is our side does have integrity, they deep down are ''nice guys'' and just aren't used to that vile kind of stuff. While the RATS are eager to paint us as RACISTS, and MEAN,ETC. Our side justs takes it on the chin ,most of the time.The only time I can remember anyone taking on that evil Ted Kennedy was during the 2004 election at the Republican convention.Zell Miller really let loose on him and Kerry, almost calling them traitors. IT WAS GREAT! I WAS CHEERING!.........Oh ,sorry I forgot........Zell's a Democrat!

You're right, BG. I really do think that most of the pols on the GOP side believe in the concept of fair play and reasonable discussion, even if the other side does not. But they seem to be continually surprised and befuddled by Rat attacks. I really do think they are a little afraid of bullies like Kennedy and Leahy.
