For the life of me I'll never understand what folks see in Arlen Spector. Don't count on him to do anything but muddy the waters on judicial nominees.

Spector is just like Hagel and McCain, they are "Popularity Poll" driven. When the NYT's, LAT's and the Washington Post express their deep concern about any issue, Spector, Hagel and McCain are the first to jump ship.

Just last month Spector said something right after the "Gang of Sixteen" brokered their deal that I find very telling about where Spector is coming from.

Spector was asked if he would vote for Janice Rogers Brown and he said something like this, (I can get the exact quote if you need it) He said: "I will not announce how I will vote, I can get far more by not revealing what my intentions are"

So what that tells me is that Spector is for sale, and he has no principles
