She then heads to the Westside Tennis Club in Houston, Texas to take on the Wranglers, Tuesday, July 12. Her last match of the season will come in Hartford the following night, Wednesday, July 13, as the Capitals take on the FoxForce at the Blue Fox Run Golf Course in Avon, Conn.
Tickets are now available for Anna's matches by calling: Newport Beach - 949-916-6682, Hartford -877-369-3672, Houston - 713-783-1620, Sacramento - 916-638-4001 x134 or tickets@gocaps.com.
In addition to her four matches with World TeamTennis in July, Kournikova remains busy these days writing a new fitness column for Elle magazine, working with the Boys & Girls Club in Miami and playing tennis exhibitions.
On why she is returning to World TeamTennis: "I love the format. I love the possibility for me to be on the court again and in front of fans and play some great tennis. I just love the format it is fun and energetic...it's a great opportunity to be on the court."
On coming to Sacramento to play for WTT: "I'm really looking forward to it. It is one of the few cities I've never been to. I'm excited to play for Wayne Bryan, he has great energy. I'm also excited to a part of a team...the crowd and the public will get to see some great matches...Looking forward to playing in a new place that I've never played before and to be a part of a new city."
On what she knows about Newport Beach and her thoughts on playing there: "Actually been there last year for Elton John and Billie Jean King's Smash Hits...there for just those few hours, really have not been around that area, too much...I've heard it's really beautiful there."
On the opportunity that WTT presents not only to her, but to other players: "It's a great combination because young players, retired players and current players can get on the court and have an opportunity to play."
On where she sees the future of WTT in regards expansion: "I would like to see it grow...if we can spread enough awareness we can expand it."
On how much of the team concept is appealing to her as opposed to playing singles: "When I was playing doubles it was always looked at as playing for fun...and I never felt that much pressure. I wasn't trying to put too much pressure on myself and I was just going out there to have fun...and play with a partner I enjoy spending time with. It was always about fun. It did help in my singles . . . to play volleys and be more aggressive in singles."

What's this all about? I checked in looking for a picture of Anna, and what's the first thing I see? A picture of old Lurch on skis.
So hot it's X rated?
Great pic. What genetics!Watching her move on the court is simply poetry in motion:)
Where the hell are the photos?!
Tease.
I actually got it to work by copying and pasting it onto WORD.
It's amazing how much better looking Russian women became after the fall of Communism.
Yep! Maria Sharapova is by far hotter ....and not only that but she wins tennis matches more often than not. Sharapova is a hottie AND a star (and to be honest Kournikova is hot, but she is not that hot).
Well I always figured you had to be brain dead to watch cars go around and around and around a track for most of the day. You prove it. There is NOTHING worse than putting up an Anna thread without good picks. What a dolt.
Why don't you PISS OFF!!!
Mercy you are either blind, ignorant, just plain annoying or all of the above. Nascardude posted a very nice pic of anna right there in the post you replied to.
