While you're educating us about how greed can be controlled maybe you could also explain how increased trade is bad.

When Jefferson said,
"Merchants have no country. The mere spot they stand on does not constitute so strong an attachment as that from which they draw their gains."--
He was remarking on human nature.
And unlike trade, human nature is little changed by time.
