(CBS/AP) One of the U.S. Special Forces operatives missing since Tuesday in Afghanistan has been rescued, a senior Bush Administration official told CBS News.

The soldier, who had been among a 6-member team that disappeared, was rescued by U.S. forces. He was in good shape, and his family had been notified.

The official said the search continues in eastern Afghanistan for the remaining missing U.S. troops.

The CBS report says Americans have been hit hard in the past three months.

I guess CBS must put a defeatist air on any report. I think CBS reports should be banned from Freerepublic!
