The smart money right now says it's going to be Garza, a justice on the 5th circuit who's reliably conservative. His nomination would serve 2 purposes. It would shore up the conservative base and also put an Hispanic on the court.

I agree, Garza makes a whole lot of sense. Hispanic, solidly conservative and he's in his 50s. Then you replace Rehnquist with Luttig, Robert or McConnell whenever he retires.
