I'm in for some prayers for you. Apparently it's time for you to slow down for a while. You were certainly protected, the way you describe what happened, my gosh, it could have been so much worse.
How far is it to work? Maybe you could walk to work from now on.
Anyway, you have my prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery and freedom from pain of any kind.

Well, the bike is useful because it saves some time, AND, I enjoy the exercise that it gives me each day. The wife uses the car, and I use my bike/public transit. I enjoy my commute, as I get a few minutes to read and prepare/reflect on the day while on the bus and train. The accident was purely rider error, as I did not negotiate my entry back onto the sidewalk at a perpindicular enough angle. Believe me, as soon as my arm is healed, I'll be back riding my bike.
