Marriages illegal under U.S law have no status in the eyes of the law. So if a same sex couple divorced in the states it would mean nothing because the marriage is not recognized under the law to begin with.

"But they all want to be legal, they want to have their special connection recognised." One doesn't need a marriage to recognize that kind of connection.

What they want is to force the rest of us to accept their lifestyle as morally legitimate in contravention of our deepest moral convictions. All this talk about tolerance and coexistence is merely code for coercing the majority of people to see gays the same way they see themselves. Well law or no law, I don't intend to lend them that approval.

What's the effect of a marriage in Canada on a divorce in the U.S.? How could they get divorced in the US? If you expell MA, "gay marriage" isn't recognized in the US.

Should we blame society?
Should we blame the images on TV?
No! Blame Canada! Blame Canada!

Foreign marriages, probably. But the problem with "gay marriages" in another state, say The People's Republic of Massachusetts is the 'full faith and credit' provision of the Constitution, which requires states to honor each other's laws, absent a contrary law. Example: New York does not do common law marriage. But if an unmarried New York couple goes to a state that does, and they meet the requirements of that state for common law marriage [could be as little as cohabit, and hold yourself out as husband and wife], or if others from that state meet the requirement, and then move to New York, New York will recognize them as married.

The MSM media somehow always finds the homosexuals who have supposedly been together as partners for decades.
They of course never find the gays who are having sex with over 1000 "partners" a year in some God for saken queer bathhouse while strung out on drugs and alcohol. The MSM media wants to make sure the average American doesn't get the actual low down on this lifestyle.

IIRC Nevada quicky divorces were not recognized in many States for a long time.

Thankfully, Massachusetts passed a law in 1935 (I believe) which states that if you are from out-of-state and want to get married in Massachusetts, if your home state does not recognize your marriage, you can't get a license in Massachusetts.
This is why we haven't seen a flood of out-of-state same-sex marriages in Massachusetts...they wouldn't be legal at home.
Even our weak-kneed AG, Reilly (D), 'supports' this law.
