Adam, bayourod is a true political insider. Here's something form his "About" section:

"I've stated my agenda several times. I am a very conservative, loyal Republican and Bush supporter who believes that a small but vocal assortment of individuals and groups with divergent motives and agendas has independently converged to exploit the legitimate issue of immigration reform for their own purposes; and that the avalanche of emotional hysteria created by them is threatening the relationship between Republicans and Hispanic voters; and that unless stopped right now, could keep the Republicans out of the White House for many decades." . . .

"Labor unions are an another obvious group that has always fought immigrant labor and now sees an opportunity to co-opt the anti-illegals movement."

Bayourod was apparently unaware that the AFL-CIO has been supporting amnesty for illegal aliens since February 2000. Here is a link to a February 16, 2000, press release by the AFL-CIO supporting amnesty for illegal aliens:
http://www.aflcio.org/mediacenter/prsptm/pr02162000d.cfm .
The AFL-CIO supports giving legal status to illegal aliens just like bayourod does.

That must be this weeks euphemism for "troll."

It has been my understanding for some time that Huckabee has been moving to the left. I wonder if he is endorsing Lt. Governor Rockefeller as his successor. Rockefeller is a first cousin of popular Democrat Senator Rockefeller of WV.

And today it is being reaffirmed by the fact that the immigrant friendly states and cities are the ones prospering while the immigrant-hostile states continue to lose jobs and populations.

Sources. Not opinion, roddy, sources. Put up, or shut up.

I prefer it when border traitors openly announce themselves.
Unfortunately they have been setting policy for far too long, and won't stop until they all get kicked out office by angry voters.

"Some of us vote our principles, rather than the polls. "

Electoral politics is about winning and governing. If you aren't interested in winning why do even care about it? In politics you're either a winner or a loser. There's no blue ribbon for "loser with loudest principles."

I dont know if illegals are voting or not. The fact is that Hispanics have shown that they will vote for anyone who will favor illegals and/or favor a legal massive increase in the Hispanic population of the country. An open borders candidate, Dem or Republican, would take 90%+ of the Hispanic vote. Anything short will be considered a gratuitous insult to them.

Yeah but we'd be much better off if the winners at least tried to work in a principle or two.

Principles are little more than opinions. Everyone has their own principles, especially the socialists. Your principles aren't any more sacred than anyone else's.

Dictators can always follow their principles, democratic representatives have to work with other representatives who have conflicting principles.

We will probably never see a more conservative President in our lives times that President Bush. And we definitely won't see another Republican President for decades if the antis succeed in driving all of the Hispanic voters into the Democrat party.

There is a vast difference between speaking out against illegal immigration and insulting American Hispanic voters.

So you agree that one can speak out against illegal immigration and not insult Hispanic voters by doing so? Good. Then Republican candidates should continue to speak out against illegal immigration, and by doing so, win over more Hispanic voters. The voting on Prop 200 in Arizona shows that a large percentage of Hispanics are sick and tired of illegal immigration.

I wish it were true but the fact is that hispanics vote for canidates that are soft (to say the least) on illegals.

Then who were you referring to when you said he has sold out to the Devil?

I wasn't referring to anybody in particular. It's an old expression that basically means that a person will do anything if it guarantees him success in whatever endeavor he embarks on. What he does to achieve success might be against his own moral values, or it might be unethical, but he doesn't care because success, however he achieves it, is his number one priority.

When a politician comes out in favor of rewarding lawbreakers in order to appease a large group of people in expectation of receiving their votes or their continued support, then I'd say that he has sold his soul to the Devil in order to retain his power and influence as an elected official.

Aparrently you hsave never been involved in a major campaign at a high level or worked with a top shelf campaign consultant.

They don't play silly little word games. Those are for vanity candidates pulling scams. Go ahead and send your money to the Hispanic bashers and don't concern yourself with the real players who have a shot at actually governing.

The Buchanan/Tancredo crowd are already in the third party column, they just are too ashamed to admit it.

47% of Hispanic voters voted in favor of the anti-illegal immigration measure Prop 200 in Arizona. As you stated earlier, it's possible for a candidate to speak out against illegal immigration without insulting Hispanic voters. So it makes sense for Republican candidates to continue to speak out against illegal immigration.
