MTV has found a way to not show music on a day where music is all around them.

It's pretty damn sad when Beavis 'n Butthead epsiodes contain more complete music videos than about any other time slot, on a station that is supposedly devoted to music videos. This is what I hear, anyway. I stopped watching somewhere around '87 or so.

BTW, here's the text of Bush's pre G8 speech. (It was delivered with more passion and conviction than most of these music performances will be):

President Discusses G8 Summit, Progress in Africa [Excellent Bush Speech]

Robbie Williams is jammin. He started out with some Queen, then jumped into this song I don't know, but it rocks.

When I came back from Live Aid my buddy, who taped the entire day, leant me his tapes and I watched it....all MTV did was show performances all day... not this half-a-bit here, half-a-bit there crap....then again the bands I am watching today cannot carry the jock straps of the band I saw 20 years ago...
