Bush has a proud record of defending private property, look how he was opposed to taking of private property, to build a baseball stadium.

Agreed, it's very unlikely Bush will do anything considering her was one of the worst abusers of taking private property for private company usage.

The Kelo decision smacks of Fascism. How unfortunate that the GOP is all for this crap.

I think a targeted effort to condemn for private use the homes of those Supreme Court Justices, and any politician who supports, the decision handed down in Kelo. Put their feet to the fire and destory their homes in the process. Win-win!

The Rangers stadium property was taken for the city of Arlington. The stadium has never been owned by Bush or the Rangers. The Kelo case is a new step, in that it allows confiscation and sale to private owners, unlike the Rangers case, which follows a long term precedent of building major public buildings (esp. sports facilities) in major urban areas.

Bush has a proud record of defending private property

Bush's campaign the first election in '00 said they would look into the matter of property rights in outer space. Still waiting, even though the President's commission put the report on his desk months ago.

"Bush has a proud record of defending private property,..."

Not say so the farmers and / or ranchers on our southern international border.
