Other than psychobabble I can't discern a coherent argument to oppose the death penalty.
I agree. I don't see the death penalty as punishment but as a protection for society.
(for it to be "punishment" they'd have to live through it and learn something)
The problem is this:
1. Men like Rader deserve to die. There is no counter-argument.
2. We have an incompetent criminal justice system than has been proven to produce perverse results, over and over, with any power granted to them, and without consequences for the perpretrators.
If you have any ideas on how to resolve this contradiction, let me know.
