Such incidents are the norm in Pakistan , so-called 'America's ally against terror'.....only few make it to the western media though. Most of the incidents are buried under by the local police and government. Rapes , molestation of children happens in civilised societies too....but whats different in case of Pakistan is the tolerance and complicity of the administration. Did you know there is a law in Pakstan which states that a rape victim has to produce in the court 4 adult witnesses of the rape to get the rapist convicted ? Else she gets branded as an adulterer and is stones to death...go figure.
I used to read about cases like this in the Kuwait Times and the Arab Times, when I was working in Kuwait. You can read both papers on line if your interested. reading them opened my eyes to the Islamic culture.
