Here's my latest guesses:
Leak no. 1 to Novak (assuming his "not a partisan gunslinger" description isn't deceptive):
Win: Lawrence Wilkinson (Colin Powell aide)
Place: Richard Clarke
Show: George Tenet
Longshots: Alan Foley, Greg Thielmann, Powell
Leak no. 2 to Novak:
Win: Richard Clarke
Place: Scooter Libby
Show: Colin Powell
Longshot: Ari Fleischer
B: Coopers Some government officials
Pick em: Thielmann, Foley, Clarke, Wilson, Plame, Libby
C: State Department Memo Leak to Wall Street Journal
Pick 'em: Some no-name apparatchiks, Ari Fleischman, George Tenet
Well, now that you mention it, I've also toyed with Colin Powell being the leaker, a thought that occurred to me after he "retired." If it's Wilkinson, I'd lay odds that he did so with the blessing of Powell.
Was Clarke still in office at that time?
Out of all those names .. who is the one person named in each of your categories?
Richard Clarke
Sorry to respond to an earlier post, but...{ding,ding,ding) I think we have a winner! Thielmann is now touring with Joe Wilson to all of the anti-war meetings. Thielmann was Director of the Office of Strategic Proliferation in Military Affairs in the INR...where the Powell memo came from. Another Freeper mentioned his name on this thread and my search on him turned up your post.
From here, all roads lead back to Wilson as the culprit in this whole scheme. I just hope Fitzgerald uncovers this info.
