First, I have to confess. Whenever I send a check through snail mail, I'd scan the freepathon thread to see if you finally got it, and when what I thought was my amount posted from my state, I'd go woo hoo, he got my check!

THE BEST COMEBACK LINE EVER!

Marine Corp's General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you have to read his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this!!!!

This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

After Christmas a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their holiday away from school.

"We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house, but Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Arizona.
 
Now they live in a condo and have rocks painted green to look like grass. They ride around on their golf cart and wear name tags because they don't know who they are anymore.
 
They go to a building called a wrecked center, but they must have got it fixed because it is all okay now. They play games and do exercises there, but they don't do them very well. There is a swimming pool too, but they all jump in with their hats on while they talk to each other. I guess they don't know how to swim.
 
At their gate, there is a dollhouse with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so nobody can escape. Sometimes they sneak out. They go cruising in their golf carts.
 
Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And, they eat the same thing every night - early birds.
 
Some of the people can't get out past the man in the dollhouse. The ones who do get out bring food back to the wrecked center and call it pot luck.
 
My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too.
 
When I earn my retardment, I want to be the man in the dollhouse. Then I will let people out so they can visit their grandchildren!!!"
