DUH.

Nobody with a brain the size of a pea actually thought that was indended as a political endorsement.

The chatting class can be so insanely stupid at times.

I agree, Billy Graham is a conservative southern baptist and the Southern Baptist Convention is the most conservative denomination. Pro-life, etc. He has preached face to face to as many multiplied hundreds of millions of people as anyone, to being them to faith. If there is any one person or denomination that helped George Bush's presidency it is Billy Graham and the Southern Baptist Convention. I agree he deserve our respect and we should overlook any small mistakes.

Check some of the responses on this board.

Some people hate the Clintons so much they have waged war against Graham since the comments were made. Now personally I have some theological disputes with him, as I said I held against JPII too, but to deny Graham's role in leading souls to Christ as insignificant compared to a joke about the Clinton's on stage? It's absurd.

If Jesus Christ descends out of the heavens in the flesh, invites the Clinton's on stage, and states he loves them, what do you want to bet he'd be trashed by a good minority for daring to hold any grace in his heart for them?

Geez. Do we have to repeat ourselves?

After Bill Clinton sat down, Graham had a few things to say. The Clintons are “a great couple," he said. "I told an audience that I felt when he left the presidency he should be an evangelist because he has all the gifts and he'd leave his wife to run the country."

QED

Trying to pass this off as "a joke" reveals him to be the same ass-kissing liar he's been see as whenever he sucks up to the rich and powerful.

If it walks, talks and quacks like a senile old coot . . . . . . .

"When impeached and disgraced Bill Clinton was in trouble for lying about "sexual relations" with an intern, Billy Graham came to his rescue."

I remember that interview and was disgusted that Graham gave absolution to the lying traitorous SOB before the SOB admitted any wrongdoing and made excuses for him. Yup, old BG got corrupted by the devil. BC corrupted alot of formerly good people who mysteriously flushed away their good reputations to side with the dirtiest, sleasiest, lying b**t**d ever to enter the White House.

You need to work on your command of the English language. An off hand comment while introducing a former President of the United States does not meet any definition of a rant I have ever seen.I realize you have a hate on for the Clinton's but the slurs you are taring Graham with are more a reflection on you than him.

I would suggest you read the rest of what Dr. Graham said that day.You might want to accept the offer he made on the behalf of God that day.As Billy Graham says all you have to do is "come to the Lord today".

Honestly I think BC is a murderer and I don't think BC or HC will ever ask for forgiveness, therefore they will never be forgiven, therefore Christ will never come down and say he loves them. Who's the fool, the fool that murders, lies and cheats or the fool who says he should be a minister!?!?

I'm sorry... wait, no I'm not. BG is done in my book and that's not my fault.

Y'all can forgive all you want but they must ask for forgiveness first. Give the Klintonites a call and tell them to ask for forgiveness. See how far you get with that before they slam the phone in your face.

Wouldn't surprise me.

I despise Clinton as a President, and I think he is a person of less then moral means in just about every respect, but that just goes to show why he needs Rev. Graham as a friend more then ever.

In scanning this thread, it's obvious that many here are not one bit interested in the truth.............just like the others on this subject.

It's more than just sad. It's sinful.

Being courteous to hosts must have gone out of style in the church. A little fun is supposed to be an endorsement now. People need to get a life!!

I'm a Celebrationist. We're small, but growing quickly. Our only sacrament is tying Jehovah's Witnesses to our dining room chairs and making them celebrate our birthdays with us.

And hating Clintons is our only Commandment.

So Christ can only love people that ask for forgiveness?

I must have missed that in my Bible. can you point to the scripture?

I chose it 'cause it looked easy and the motto "Your Slippery Slope to Heaven!" is awfully enticing.

Yes, perception and reality ARE often quite different, BUT, Paul warned against giving the wrong impression to those who couldn't handle it in 1 Corinthians chapter 8:

9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
...
13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

I think Dr. Graham made a bad mistake, but it hardly outweighs the wonderful work he's done for Jesus.

Why would Christ love people that are not allowed through the pearly gates? If they are not allowed into Heaven then they are the enemy. There is at least one person in the bible that Jesus didn't love and he was sent to hell, which is where, I believe, the Klintonites will be going. For good ol' Billy to get in front of a national audience and say BC should be a minister is totally preposterous, inappropriate and inexcusable unless of course Billy asks for forgiveness.
