Remember that Satan believes in God. He is also the great deceiver. He presents himself as an angel of light. He fooled Eve into thinking that God was conspiring against humans to hide certain knowledge and truths from them. THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF OUR TROUBLES. We will not find God down Satan's deceptive path. We will ONLY find Him in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. That's it. There is a wide gate that leads to destruction. That's the universalist way. There is a narrow gate that leads to life. That's Christ's way. It doesn't happen by accident. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. NOT by an inner feeling of the "essence" of God within. That's a lie from Satan, the great deciever. It is the ANCIENT lie of all lies and it leads straight to destruction.
We must repent of our sins and put our faith in the one who is our Substitution. He died in our stead. He paid the price for our sins. He is the ONLY way, and we must know Him BY NAME!
Right on!
The existence of God is clearly seen by looking at what He has created.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. NOT by an inner feeling of the "essence" of God within.
But I think Rev Graham is contemplating that those who see/find God through what he's created and realize that God is not within can be saved.
You dont think thats what the Rev is meaing though when you listen? I'll have to relisten.
I tend to believe most, if not all, of what you say, but I acknowledge that what I believe, I believe by faith. That faith is the faith of a frail human being in a God who is infinite and all-knowing, and all-righteous. No one of us can KNOW how God might treat those who have not heard the name of Jesus. Our faith must direct us, but we must always understand that it is by faith we believe, not by earthly "knowledge."
