Have to continue the comment a bit.
There is no way to put in place enough legal safeguards to protect our republic once the people quit doing their job.
In the case of term limits, the cure is far worse than the disease IMHO.
Brady Bill, NAFTA, GATT, etc, all passed in a lame duck congress. Anytime our "elected" officials have no accountability to those who elected them, it is trouble.
