The so-called "moderate" muslims are muslims only in name - were they to sincerely follow the tenets of Islam they would no longer remain moderate. Islam is the only religion where the more religious a person becomes, the more he would tend towards violence & extremism - witness the Taleban (literally "islamic students") of Afghanistan.

islam is really quite strict about these things.

push even a non praticing mussie about it, and most of them will admit to hating jews and wanting them expelled from Israel... and they give some tacit support intellectually to the pallies.

and I don't think they can be 'unradicalized' in any means short of complete and total subjugation.

If they stop stoning women.
If they stop beheading men.
If they allow freedom of religion.
If they allow freedom of dress.
If they allow freedom of speech.
and I am not very hopeful about the outcome.
allah doesn't like individual freedom.
