Hi Star
That's a great feeling isn't it. How cool you exchanged cards. Way to go Girl. LOL! You are correct! We must be bolder about Thank You. Everyone on the Canteen have given me the courage to do this every time now. I so appreciate this thread.
Yesterday, I was in Kmart with my daughter. My daughter said, MOM! I just saw a Soldier walk by. I said, good girl! C'mon! I saw him and his girl. He was so young. He looked so handsome in his uniform. Airforce man. We walked up to them. They looked at us and I could tell they were wondering what we were going to say. I said, Thank you so much for your service! Both Soldier and his girl gave smiles that was such a gift back to us. God Bless them. I will never let it go unsaid. I told hubby I wish I could thank them all day! My husband was on business recently in Dallas and saw a group of Service men and sent them the next round on him anonymously, a Thank you from Americans he told the Bartender to tell them. It's amazing how much this means to us all.

You made a special day, even more special for a very special sailor and his parents!
You deserve a "Special" Award.

Never mind it's back to normal. That was strange. I looked to the thread to read and it was all centered in dark blue. It was kind of nice. LOL!

LOL! I really saw it like that. LOL! Everything followed your post was all centered letters in dark blue. Even the post to and from. It looked nice. I don't start on the Tokillya until after 4. :)
