Great tagline! I always respected the Marine mentality, even though I prefer "Hooah" to "Oorah"

Heh, ever heard what "Marine" stands for?? (My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment.)

The first think the DIs taught us in boot camp was to never challenge a sailor to a speed-typing contest. Those guys were deadly on a Smith Corona.

I had a friend that's a Marine. I asked him if it was true that the Marine Corp was part of the Department of the Navy. He said "yeah, the MEN'S Department."

My Daddy explained the way the various services worked to me once.

He said "Son, the Navy transports the combat troops... The Marines take the shore by assault... The Army pushes inland and secures the territory... And the Air Force lands and build the O-Club"

With apologies to all you fine Zoomies out there.

Four Servicemen, one from each of the branches of the service, were arguing about which service was best. As they argued, they started to cross the street, only to be hit and killed by a bus.

As they stood before St. Peter, they decided to have him decide which branch was the best. St. Peter thought about it, then said, "Gentlemen, I can't make that sort of determination. What I can do is ask God next time I see him, then get back to you."

Well, time went by and our four servicemen went about being angels. One day, St. Peter approached them, handed them a letter, and said, "Here is God's answer as to which branch of the service is best." They huddled around and it read:

"Gentlemen,
Each branch of the service is equally important. Every serviceman plays an important part in keeping America safe. You are all to be commended on the sacrifices you made in your mortal lives, your country is proud of you.

Signed,
God
USMC Retired."

OK, The Marines are a department of the Navy. They're the MENS department.
