From Jayski
Presley not happy with Wally: Singer Lisa Marie Presley, who performed several songs during pre-race ceremonies, had quite an experience when she rode around the superspeedway with former NASCAR Cup driver Wally Dallenbach. "I want to kick his [butt] right this minute," she said. "It would have been great if we just went around really fast in the middle of the track. But he perpetually wanted to make me feel like I was going to die every two seconds, riding me an inch from the wall."(ESPN.com/AP)(7-3-2005)

Maybe, or she could do like Angelle Seeling(name at the time) did after her first NHRA pro stock bike championship. She hired a personal trainer and 'bulked' up. Went from 90 to 95.

Even though I took another beating last night It has been a long time since I felt so giddy about a finish.

Note to Tony...It's OK to be positive as you have been lately.

Suspected drunk driver plows into downtown display

(7/04/05 - HOUSTON) — A suspected drunk driver plowed through part of tonight's Freedom over Texas celebration near downtown Houston.

An SUV was headed down Allen Parkway near Bagby around 4am when he allegedly ran into two of the Chevy NASCAR cars on display on the street. Police believe the driver was drinking. He was arrested at the scene.

No one was hurt, but two of those race cars were so damaged they had to be towed away. The remaining four cars will be kept on display for families to see tonight.

"But it wasn't Jr's week."

Yeah, but for being in the top 3, it was for him.

WCG, looks like I missed a good race! Technical difficulties kept me out of the loop while out in the countryside. :(

Looks like JDT done well this week!

I went to sleep with MRN on the radio and woke up for the last six laps. Look like Smoke has (maybe) got his "issues" in control. And the car and crew is right on the rail.

24 better stay out of his way.

And, I am spamming the threads for the Freepathon. I do believe that every usual poster is a giver. That speaks loud for the NASCAR fans.

If not, git 'er done.

Hey NY how was your weekend?

Did you see the race at all?

If not, you should watch the replay when it's on, it was the best race of the year so far!! The whole night with the 2 1/2 hour delay and being run until the wee hours of the morning made it even more fun.

I'm really looking forward to the three night races in a row starting 8-27.

Jr's run was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!

Anyone wanting to bash him can kiss my Budweiser. lol

Smooch!

Just my opinion and gut reaction, which is almost always right -

Junior can drive a perfect car; otherwise he can bitch about it.

I'll raise you one smooch and no bashes. lol

I never said he was the best driver out there. There are several that are better IMO.

I like the whole package Jr has which is his personality, his honesty, his generosity among other things. He has a make-a-wish child at almost every race, not to mention all the other charities he sponsors.

He does have the ability to thrill you at plate tracks!! Take a look at last years Talladega race again. Just the last 10 laps.

I like almost all the drivers out there because I love racing, but Jr is my favorite as everyone knows by now. And, that red BUD car is a fine looking car!

:~)

I wonder how much NA$CAR gets?!!

"Time Factory will donate 15% of the calendar proceeds to benefit the Greg Biffle Foundation, which creates awareness and serves as advocates to improve the well-being of animals."

But if there is a black lab in there, I'll buy one!

He was going to pit and waved to let them know behind him...42 slowed up ok but 10 didn't and swerved up into Mark

Prob'ly because the 42 didn't wave. Am I the only one that notices how many wrecks seem to be started by this guy? Nobody ever says anything about it. Sheesh!!!
