Two Iraqi's with no documentation are arrested along the US/Mexico border.

Correct use of apostrophes is alien in many places. FR is not immune. It's one of my pet peeves too, but I usually overlook it but only because it's so rampant.

Funny story (although pathetic)-- at my last job I worked with a late-20-something airhead who was working on her PhD (forgot for what... irrelevant anyway). She was heading a smoking-cessation program at the time called "Mom's Quit Connection." I needed to refer to it for some reason so I asked her, "is the name of your program plural or possessive?" She looked at me with the blankest expression and I just let her go on doing it. Finally she said, "I'm not good at grammar." If that's PhD material these days-- then heaven help us.

But, Did you know that after the Gulf War, former President Bush permitted 6,000 Iraq Republican Guardmen to move to this country? It was in exchange for them standing down during the war.

They had a breakdown by Middle Eastern country of who they've captured so far.

Obviously my point was that I don't think they have exhausted all options as far as securing the border. Seems like an electric fence would be a pretty obvious option for starters.

I've said it before;

Two walls, 2 feet thick and 30 yards apart.

A concrete highway in-between, wall to wall. Cameras and movement and heat detectors for the entire length.

Alarms.

Official points of entrance is the only way to get in without being automatically turned back, after fingerprinting. Convicts to to jail.

No warrants outstanding, automatic return, no judge

Third catch is a 5 year prison term with return to home country.


Don't let anyone tell you this can't work. We built the Brooklyn Bridge, the Golden Gate, the Hoover Dam, the Chunnel and the World Trade Center.

Ask the Israeli's if walls work.
