That's been the case since the '84 elections put good guy Reagan back in office.
Unfortunately, the first election I was old enough to take major interest in was the most recent 04' one between Bush and Kerry.
After all, I was a mere young'un when Clinton's sexual escapades made the news wires. Even so, I'm kind of sad that I'll never know personally how Reagan performed in office.
