Politicians on both sides love this eminent domain.

Just think of all the creative ways it can be used.

If say your are a Democratic Mayor in a particular city and you know of certain areas of the community that are largely republican. All you need to do is use eminent domain to get the property find a developer to build housing that will suit your Democrat voters. A politician can now change the political make up of his city. They will not say that is what they are doing, it will of course be for the "public good."
