So say something like

?Jay I supported going to war but Bush is now carrying out an unconstitutional war

We should not help the DU lurker's, but if they need to pick up talking point tips from us, then they really do not have too strong of a case.

That phrase above would clearly identify the caller as a phony. Since Congress authorized the use of force, this war clearly meets the requirements of the Constitution. What they are confusing is the use of the term "illegal war" meaning that if it is not sanctioned by the UN, then the war is illegal in the court of world opinion. These guys are really clueless.

As I have argued w/ some of my conservative brethren, Congress authorized the use of force. Some conservatives argue that the authorization is not a Declaration of War.

I say that is a distinction w/o a difference.
