It's buried in the article, but apparently his bio accompanying the article identified him as an Allstate employee.
He did not get fired for his Christian views. He got fired for associating his company with his personal views (views that the company neither holds nor supports).

Their stance is very radical and makes one think very hard about society today.
Here is an excerpt... Keep in mind that he was fired for this...
Many homosexuals choose not to recognize that the majority of their detractors really do care for them as individuals, hold no animus toward them, and would not presume to dictate what sexual anomalies they entertain behind closed doors, whether self-destructive or not. However, when militant homosexual activists attempt to quell all criticism of their behavior, force society to accept that behavior, and further attempt to alter the fabric of society by changing it to correspond with their own morally relative, androgynous notion of marriage, then those same activists shouldnt be at all surprised to discover that theyve angered those who value the sanctity of marriage they shouldnt be taken aback to find that they have one hell of fight on their hands to expect anything less would be queer indeed.
Sounds fairly "straight" forward to me....
Look at his credentials to. He will work again soon.

Unless he claimed to be acting as a spokesman for Allstate, the fact that he identified himself as an Allstate employee should make no difference. Is Allstate now going to question prospective employees about their religious beliefs? What if he had just expressed his opinion about homosexuality to guests at his home, who then relayed it to others and the company eventually found out? Could they fire him then, too?
