I can't stand any of those self-important do-gooder limousine liberal pop "icons." They are all vastly overrated musicians too.

There's a certain quality to this year's begathon for Africa that betrays the fact that people do not care, and are sick of the perennial plight of Africa. I won't be watching. Unless, of course, ZZ Top is playing.

After all theyre getting a free concert and can take solace in the fact that they can delude themselves that Africa will somehow be better off after next weekend. Gosh, I thought Sir Bob fixed Africa in the 80s. Not exactly following up on his work the last 20 years, was he?

Whatever you think about U2 they have had about 20 years of consistent gold, platinum and multiplatinum albums and also are among the top five money makers on summer tours year after year.
The Boomtown Rats had one or two hit songs in the early eighties.
Geldoff is no Bono.
