Isn't the Fred Phelps group the ones that go funerals of gay people with signs that say 'God Hates Fags' and otherwise act very disrespectful and un-christian?
Feel however you like about gays and what rights they should or shouldn't have, this group just has no class and give christians everywhere a bad name. And to blame 9/11 on US tolerance of homosexuality instead of where it belongs is way WAY beyond the pale.

You got that right. If they were proper Christians they would invite them into their church to find Jesus and repent their sinful ways, not drive them further away. God forgives all sin, -bar none- on meaningfull and sincere repentance.
They are Novatians- heretics, and are no closer to God than the sinner who has sinned the gravest of sins, and is unrepentant.
