LONDON (Reuters) - Russian defending champion Maria Sharapova enjoyed a sun-soaked stroll into the Wimbledon quarter-finals Monday.
French pair Amelie Mauresmo and the revitalised Mary Pierce also coasted through to the last eight on a frantic day of action with all 16 fourth-round singles matches being played.
Second seed Sharapova prevented Nathalie Dechy joining her French compatriots with a 6-4 6-2 victory on Court One, her fourth consecutive straight sets win.S

HARDLY scrawny Coulter legs. Annie can write beautifully, but she looks like she hasn't had a decent meal or exercise in six years.
Damn, that was brilliant tennis. Different equipment these days, but he looks like the greatest tennis player who ever lived. He does everything with the ball.
Roddick, during the on court ceremonies, said he wanted a beer afterwards......... I think he'll have a dozen. Good for him, he played well against a tempest of brilliant shots by Federer!
He always Roddick must be sick to have come up against him two Wimbledons running. I thought Roddick played very well but was just up against the best player of all time.
