Many of those who "go forward" are volunteers from local churches who are going up to take their places in front after the altar call. The numbers going forward during a BG event are misleading.

I was a volunteer as a field counselor and on the co-labor team at a crusade in 1994. We worked well into the night to process and send out packets to those that came forward.
