I think you are kinda weird to want to personalize this with me.

I think its a bit unjustified to call him a "pathetic old showboat".
Not sure about what you mean it being personal. You call him a name, I put your comment and attitude into perspective.

You are probably right. I can't believe his son allowed it to happen. Maybe he was trying to show that anyone, even Clinton can be forgiven. I'm glad that I don't have to make that call!

You're sitting at the keyboard speculating about me. Kinda weird.

Graham is doddering around clinging to the last remnants of his fame and showing how he can still pal around with the rich and powerful. He's been seduced by it--not surprising--we all would be in those circumstance. It puts a sad period to his accomplishments.

If you happened to work in religious publishing, which I have, you'd get a closer look at showboating. If you hung around ERs in the Appalachians, you might even get a different picture of how people who think they're really important behave.

Celebrity does very bad things to people.

Now, please stick your righteous to your wall .

First:
I havent claimed one bit how "righteous" I am. Try another put down....one that relates to what I've said.

Second:
I can only speculate from your writings. You have not given me a clear reason why you would hate this man so much. Doddering, clinging, seduced, showboating...all characteristics you admit that you yourself would do in the same circumstance. And yet, instead of a forgiving/understanding heart you want to call people names. I think youre projecting your own bitterness onto him. A bitterness that you need to get on your knees and talk to God about. Its obviously causing you to dislike people for confusing reasons. Let it go, shake it off and ask for a refreshed heart.

Third:
Celebrity can do very bad things to people. But that does not make them bad just for being a celebrity. Tell me of the sins he's done, explain to me why I should think less of him. You did mention the people that he "pals around with"...thats not good enough. These are not his pals. These are people at high levels of governement that he has influence over. I'm thankful he has that access.

Fourth:
Who is your pastor? Whats your church like?

How can a godly man even shake hands with a dirtbag like Clinton?

Could it be that Graham is just an entertainer with the religious show?

What business is it of yours what church I go to? Like I said, you're getting personal, and I wish you'd go find someone else to stalk.

You get the last word. I'm not replying to you again.

Last word means nothing to me.

Next time when you spam a thread with name calling, try harder to defend your position.

re: Could it be that Graham is just an entertainer with the religious show?)))

Graham is very fond of the limelight and the glamour of rubbing elbows with the famous and powerful.

It's a common failing, but one would have hoped he wouldn't have made his professional exit this way.

Calvary Contender

March 1, 1998:

NAE PRESIDENT ARGUE RESIGNS - Assembly of God minister Dr. Don Argue has unexpectedly resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals, effective April 15 (2/9 Chr. Today). He becomes president of Northwest College (AOG) in Kirkland, Wash. He had tried to revitalize NAE membership, calling it "too old, too white, and too male." He made strides in racial reconciliation and was a bridge-builder to charismatics and liberals. The NAE should actually be called the NAEC (Nat'l Assoc. of Evangelicals & Charismatics), given the growing preponderance of charismatics in its constituency. And, for the first time since its creation in 1942, the NAE's top leader (Argue, and a Muslim leader) addressed the general assembly of the liberal National Council of Churches (2/1/97 CC). NCC general secretary Joan Brown Campbell said regular meetings with Argue and other meetings with him involving the chairman of the Roman Catholic bishops' ecumenical committee show that increased cooperation between the NAE and NCC is occurring. She said this cooperation is being accepted by the NAE board and not by Argue alone, since he spoke at the NCC in 1996 with the NAE board's approval (Jan-Feb Foundation). The NAE (and Promise Keepers, and other new-evangelicals) are building bridges (ecumenism) into the enemy's camp instead of building walls (separation) to protect the sheep from ravenous wolves in sheep's garb.
