"Isn't this exactly what was tried with the Enola Gay exhibit?"

Where was the Enola Gay exhibit?....please forgive my ignorance on this matter, but thank you very much for mentioning it. Kindly elaborate.

Thanks

Char :)

Several years ago, the Smithsonian Institution was going to have a special display regarding the Enola Gay, the B-29 that dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan. ("Box Car" was the B-29 that dropped the second).

The exhibit quickly was hijacked by leftist professors, hate-America activists, no-nukes wackos, Marxists, socialists, and democrats (all one in the same really).

The basic tenant of the exhibit became this:

"Japan was just going through life, minding its own business, when all of a sudden--and straight out of the clear blue, the EVIL United States of America dropped an A-Bomb on the innocent women and children of peaceful Japan."

Good afternoon.

The Ebola Gay exhibit is at the Smithsonian.

Liberals, mostly academic types, tried to turn it into an indictment of the US for using the bomb to end the war. I saw an interview with one "historian" who stated that it wasn't necessary for us to use the bomb. He said we would have only lost a few tens of thousands of men invading Japan. I was dumbstruck.

I've never seen the exhibit but I been told that outraged veterans groups forced the Smithsonian to back down.

The left is our enemy always in all ways.
