I think I would go for Washington, Madison, Hamilton, Reagan, Adams, Jefferson, in that order.
Good picks, but Hamilton was the one that created the central bank and was for a strong federal government. He and Jefferson were polar opposites.
But I do have a lot of respect for the man, if not for some of his ideas.
I was thrilled to see Reagan win. MY HERO! I thought it would be Washington, Reagan, Lincoln, King & Franklin. I was SHOCKED that Washington came in 4th.
I like your list, although I'd drop Hamilton about 3 spots. I think it's tragic that the founding fathers are being forgotten, like the People's Republic of Berkely renaming Jefferson Elementary. Of course, for many Californians, FDR is considered ancient history.
