What do you think about a young family taking up residence in WY? I've been looking for ranch properties online. Awfully pretty country up there.

WY Rocks but its for very strong folks.
the conditions can be very extreme there.
I was caught in a snowstorm AUG 27 in little bighorn national forest.
It was wild and the Mt roads were trecherous, but the time under a full moon with fresh snow on the blooming purple sage? priceless

Pretty mountains and lakes. High plains desert. Wind. Mostly conifer forests with a few aspens and cottonwoods. Working ranchers complain about a hard life. Hobby ranchers send engraved invitations to roundups where everybody gets to play cowboy for a day. Low crime rate. Long distances between towns. They close Interstate highways during snowstorms. People die from exposure when their cars get stuck in remote areas. Bears eat dogs. Small towns that bore kids. Natural resources (gas, oil, coal) booming creating lots of jobs. Very little manufacturing. No state income tax. I like it.
