Thanks for your post. I had NO idea how bad this is. I listen to Neal Boortz a lot and that's where I first learned about this issue. Boortz talks about starting at the local level and slowly getting a citizens group together....that is, to monitor local officials. What do you think about that? We'll pray for your success. Please keep us posted!

monitor local officials

Recovering, Glad you recovered! :)

Ideally, monitoring local officials, would be the solution. Unfortunately, the Court just gave these public officials a "get out of corruption free" card.

That is, say like you openly opposed someone for Mayor of your community. Then, let's assume, the Mayor sees a chance to make more tax revenue for the locality by acquiring property in your neighborhood, including yours.

Up to this point, you might have fought back by arguing that that the Mayor's action was merely a vendetta against you. But now, all the Mayor has to prove is that the project will benefit the tax revenue of the City. It's criminal.

It seems far fetched, but the legal mechanism is now there- and it is serious. People might now not realize it, until they themselves are confronted by it. But honestly, it is the most egregious abuse of elite/governing authority since WACO- and that was, more or less, and isolated occurrence.

But, in any event, thank you in advance for your prayers. As to my cases, I'll need them. :) And certainly, I will remember you and yours in mine tonight.
