ROVE RILES DEMS: KNOCKING 9/11 'WIMPS'
NY POST ^ | June 26, 2005 | LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Posted on 06/26/2005 4:15:06 AM PDT by Liz

THE ISSUE: Karl Rove's recent comments on how liberals responded to 9/11.

Sen. Dick Durbin calls the U.S. military no better than Nazis, Stalinists and the Cambodian mass murderer Pol Pot. Response from the Democratic leadership: near silence. Rove says the Democratic response to the 9/11 attacks on the U.S. was wimpy. Democratic leadership response: apoplexy. I think Rove understated the case. Gerard Browne Jersey City, N.J.

****

Rove spoke the truth at the Conservative's annual dinner the other night. Thank God for people like Rove, who tell it like it is. Stewart Lara Manhattan

****

To the differences between conservatives and liberals outlined by Rove, I would add the following: Conservatives are unafraid to confront reality, while liberals are fearful and unable to recognize what is real. Paul Bloustein Cincinnati, Ohio

****

Rove makes a truthful statement about liberals and 9/11 to a group of conservatives, and Democrats in the Senate are "outraged." That in itself tells you all you really need to know about today's Democrats. James Ahlfeld Larchmont

Yes. It is annoying to see the "appeasement" party to get the message, but they were finally "outed" with one simple statement. The truth hurts when you have to admit your real political leanings, just like the MSM.

OOOH! Your link in #7 was great. Pataki has never been one of my favorites, but I think he's one of very, very few who has publically challenged Her Heinous' statements and called her a hypocrite.

It used to happen, but that was in the first year or two of the Clinton reign. Once she had enough files and WHoDB...

"What a campaign commerical that quote would make..."

One can only hope! I'm looking for major mileage out of that one!

Yep, the title of the article should read;

"Pataki Rips Hill a New One!"

Plus .. in Rove's speech - if you read the transcript - he clearly mentions the names of the "liberal" groups he was talking about: MoveOn, Michael Moore, etc. If the dems had any brains they would have just shut up. But .. since MoveOn and Michael Moore truly represent the DEMOCRATS opinions about anything and everything Bush .. we can understand why the dems overplayed their hand and exploded over being exposed for the cowards they truly are.

Some of the statements by MoveOn were stunning. They truly did propose "restraint" and "understanding why the terrorists would attack us".
