PBS says the proposed cuts would have severely impacted "Sesame Street," "Clifford," "Between the Lions" and other popular children's shows.Jusat as with politicians arguing for a tax rise or against a cut: if we don't get the money, the most visible and popular items will be cut.

Mainstream reporting here. A republican is alleging bias. No democrats were involved mind you just good old fashioned nonpartisian middle of the roader PBS folks dotcha know.
