"For people who are employed and under 55 the crisis is now, because you will never see a dime of what you are paying into Social Security without immediate and radical change in the program."
That's right. They've taken money from me since I was sixteen, tell me I can't have any of it back until I'm 70 (if I live that long) and by that time the program is bankrupted. Not that I want any of it in the first place, but why do I have to support everybody else's failures in this society? I think there should be some exceptions (welfare recipients) but that's it. They want to blame the boomers for this radical change. Who has paid for this program over the last 40 years anyway? Our greatest generation won't live forever THANK GOD! END SOCIAL SECURITY, yeah right....

I agree with you. The government has siezed money from my earnings without my permission for the last 42 years. I can't even get any back for at least another four . I want my $$ back so its not given to some SOB who made the wrong decisions in life or sits on his/hers a$$ all day for a welfare check .I could have amassed a small fortune if I was able to invest that $$ my own way in the stock market .

SS is a Ponzi scheme orchestrated by the Greatest Generation leaving the bill to be paid by the subsequent generations.
I believe the best idea is to make the Senate and House members retire under the SS system and toss the opulent Congressional retirement. They'd fix SS then.
