A Lebanese-born British citizen detained this week on Mexico's Baja California peninsula is believed linked to extremist organizations with ties to the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Mexican prosecutors said.

Mexico's federal attorney general's office said late Tuesday that U.S. authorities linked Amer Haykel ''to extremist groups believed to be involved with the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, in New York.'' It did not say if he faced any charges.

By calling for amnesty, Kennedy, Mccain, and even the president indcuce more Mexicans who otherwise would not neccesarily do so know or ever, to illegally cross our border asap so that they too can be here to receive amnesty. Soon after Bush's call for amnesty, the borders were flooded with people seeking to come here illegally. By flooding the borders, people migrating here illegally make it more difficult for our agents to do their job. This then gives way to more migrants getting across our border -- perhaps even terrorists.

On the list, off the list. The truth?

Mexico on Thursday blamed the United States for the mistaken detention of a British citizen who had been arrested on the belief that he was sought by Washington in connection with the September 11, 2001 terror strikes. Presidential spokesman Rubén Aguilar said the United States never had taken the suspect's name off an alert list that had been sent to Mexican authorities.
