What has happened to the Democrats over the past few decades is best captured by the phrase, coined by Kevin Phillips, "reactionary liberalism." Spent of new ideas, their only remaining idea is to hang on to the status quo at all costs.

This is exactly what we are witnessing.

I've been saying it for years and I'll say it again: The Democratic Party is morally, spiritually, ethically and intellectually bankrupt. It has nothing to offer except hatred, divisiveness, obstructionism and now anti-Americanism.
