"This could lead to conflict."

I believe it to be mathematically certain to lead to conflict.

There's not a forum I take part in where at least someone has mentioned defending our rights with violence.

In one case a member mentioned ordering one thousand rounds of ammunition, solely over this issue.

Heads up people, this isn't going to fly, but corrupt government seems determined to ram it through anyway.

Prepare yourselves, a fight is coming.

"The only recourse is to slaughter the selectmen --- at least as history is guide, that will happen in case after case. I strongly advise against such bloodletting. But how else will a farmer protect the legacy of many generations?"

Slaughter seems like such an extreme option for the time being. In the interests of moderation and to prevent bloodshed, I strongly advocate a return to tar and feathers...

Why not band together, obtain financing and through eminent domain secure the land where the Supreme Court sits and build an amusement park?

The site already has five clowns, after all....

Well now that this will effect EVERYONE regaurdless of their political persuasion maybe others might go in for your idea!

Mark Levin had a good/funny point:

In all thsoe 1940 B Western Movies--it was always the Hero coming to the aid of the Ranchers' WIDOW where the Evil Cattle/OIL/Land barron was trying to force off the land!!

Usually there were Gun Battles...you find the Evil connection between the Barron and the Mayor towards the end and HE gets shot...and then the chase scene where the barron gets shot and falls from a bridge or mountain.

Not far from the truth.

From another Woody Guthrie song, "Pretty Boy Floyd":

"As thru this life you travel,
You'll meet some funny men.
Some'll rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain pen.

"As thru this world you wander,
As thru this world you roam,
You'll never see an outlaw
Take a family from their home."

A disgusting ruling by an arrogant court.

Check out this petition site:

http://www.petitiononline.com/5amend/petition-sign.html

An email correspondent's comment:

"FOLKS: This past week, SCOTUS (Supreme Court OF The United States) once again, has attempted to rewrite OUR Constitution to totally change the original intent as written by the Founders.

Eminent Domain was NEVER intended to be used by government EXCEPT to obtain property for roads, public buildings, schools, military bases and other necessary government usage.

This past week, the Supreme Court rewrote the Constitution, stating that it was legal for cities to condemn private property under Eminent Domain, to purchase and then resell to developers and other special interests, supposedly to benefit the community and the city by increasing tax revenues.

THIS IS TOTALLY BOGUS!

Please click on the link below and add your signature to the petition for a Constitutional Amendment to put a stop to this invitation to even more corruption within government and the theft of private homes and property for the financial benefit of a few.

>> I can't believe they ruled that way...just can't believe it.

Believe it. The first plank of the Communist Manifesto is the abolition of private property.

Now, if intelligent people, like the author, would refrain from labeling communists as "liberals", maybe the peasants would understand that Marxist Communists are in control of their destinies -- not Liberals.
