Now Mugabe has turned his deadly attention to the poor driving hundreds of thousands from their homes in what he euphemistically calls an "urban renewal" program or "Operation Drive Out Trash." A policy approved 5-4 by the U.S. Supreme Court.

This is what you get with a Marxist in power. No one's rights are safe, least of all the right to private property. Mugabe knows very well what he is doing in that in rendering his country homeless, he deprives them of their livelihoods and the means to resist his regime. Its a warning to free societies to remain vigilant about encroachments on liberty. As Americans, our hearts and sympathies are with those seeking their freedom and and to have a government that exists only with the consent of the governed.

Where's the outrage in the US? Mugabe is a Marxist despot, so there is none. The left is too busy looking at the air conditioning, quality of meals and treatment of Korans (which we supplied) at Gitmo.

the civilized world hardly noticed No, only the media in the "civilized world" hardly noticed.
Those who are civilized definitely noticed. And were appalled.

The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bulawayo, Pius Ncube, who has been a sharp critic of the evictions, said he is so angered by the campaign he was "ready to stand before a gun and be shot." I guess that means he is still not angry enough to "STAND BEHIND A GUN AND SHOOT"
