Actually, if the city's tax base hadn't been destroyed by off shore manufacturing, this case would have never arose. Sometimes we got to think long term, vs. a quarterly profit.

Yeah they were just condeming rural proprieties and giving them over to salamanders before that. But developers give better kickbacks.

Do you have any info on what factory shut down and made it necessary for the government to take the houses of these nice people? I'll bet it was WalMart's fault.
