Been working and getting ready to take a vacation......second in three years......second in twenty years. But this one is for a joyous family reunion. My niece is getting married!
That'll take a day and then when the newly weds go off on honeymoon, my brother and I will go fishing, drink beer, swap stories (lies, all lies!) and plot the takeover of the world! (or at least the best fishing spots).
I'm looking forward to this!
Hi there EsmeraldaA!
The two of you should keep in mind that others come to the Canteen daily.
Please keep your personal business to FReep mail.
I wasn't even here Thur AM since I was doing a commercial fishing vessel exam.
I have another one Fri AM
So please don't expect me to come in and be a mediator.
Thank You
Good evening Ladies!
Yeah, if you want to be cool in the Canteen, try this style....... A little current affairs, a bit of politics, and a whole lot of sarcasm, well maybe just a touch.....Because without a touch of sarcasm, we all might become seriously jaded because we are unable to release our frustrations concerning current events and how much better things would be if WE were running things in this Country.....
Am I after all, too jaded? I am just curious!
Stand Watie was born Dec. 12, 1806, near Rome Georgia, and died Sept. 9, 1871, at his home on Honey Creek in Delaware County, Oklahoma, near the northwest corner of Arkansas.
Watie was the only Native American on either side to rise to a brigadier general's
rank during the war. On June 25, 1865, two months after Robert E. Lee's surrender,
he officially surrendered his command of the First Indian Brigade, C.S.A to federal
authorities at Doaksville near Fort Towson in the Choctaw Nation.
He was the last Confederate general in the field to surrender.
BTW, 100!
Ooops!
