Actually I thought that Casey's response was quite a bit more forceful than that of Rumsfeld's. To me that General was defending his soldiers as much as he was defending the policy.

Thank you for your service, Mike. I don't think that you or any of our military will ever know how proud you all make us or how grateful we are. Our young men and women in the military are our treasure and the envy of the world. God Bless.

I was just a contractor. But the military is doing some great things worthy of praise over there.

I had the chance to meet and play some golf today with some guys who were home on leave. One was from Fallujah, another Balad and another Karbala. Great guys.

They will be in my prayers.
